Messages of Gratitude

Sometimes checking my voicemail is a drag. It feels like it’s full of just telemarketers and problems from work. Rarely is it ever an invitation for a party or something fun. But the other day, I had a bunch of thank you messages from the people at my church. It was volunteer appreciation month at our church, and everyone joined in and called people to thank them. Once I heard what was going on, I decided to join in, too. It really made my day. It was great to receive the messages, but it was even better to call people and leave them. I’ve started making a point of saying thank you, sending out thank you notes, and thank you Emails in addition to leaving thank you voicemails. It’s really helped me be more postive, and you know what? My voicemail messages ARE filled with more fun stuff now–even party invitations. :)
