James Morrison is planning to do his bit for the environment this weekend - and will cycle 150 miles before his performance in Essex.

The ‘Wonderful World’ singer is concerned about climate change, and so he has decided to travel between the Staffordshire and Essex V Festival sites on a four-seater bike with his band.

A source told the Daily Star: “James is worried about his carbon footprint, particularly as acts normally get helicopters from both sites. He thought it might be fun to cycle instead.”

The insider added: “The band will be totally knackered if they make it. It’ll probably go horribly wrong and they’ll have to hitch a lift instead.”

British singer James Morrison will take a short break after finishing his US tour and performing at the V Festival.

“I’m a perfectionist and I haven’t got anything I have finished, so I can’t wait to take a bit of time off so I can get back to writing,” Morrison said.

“People have really been getting into it. It overwhelmed me how quickly the crowds took to it, so we will see how things go next year,” he said of his tour of the US.
