James Morrison is planning to do his bit for the environment this weekend - and will cycle 150 miles before his performance in Essex.
The ‘Wonderful World’ singer is concerned about climate change, and so he has decided to travel between the Staffordshire and Essex V Festival sites on a four-seater bike with his band.
A source told the Daily Star: “James is worried about his carbon footprint, particularly as acts normally get helicopters from both sites. He thought it might be fun to cycle instead.”
The insider added: “The band will be totally knackered if they make it. It’ll probably go horribly wrong and they’ll have to hitch a lift instead.”

British singer James Morrison will take a short break after finishing his US tour and performing at the V Festival.
“I’m a perfectionist and I haven’t got anything I have finished, so I can’t wait to take a bit of time off so I can get back to writing,” Morrison said.
“People have really been getting into it. It overwhelmed me how quickly the crowds took to it, so we will see how things go next year,” he said of his tour of the US.

James Morrison - who, aping Stevie Wonder in You Give Me Something, sold an incredible 1.5 million copies of his debut single.
James who is barely of drinking age in the country from which he pilfered his sound, is blessed with an undeniably strong voice. It projects all the necessary grit and range to lend sincerity to even the most banal of lyrics.
Morrison, now 22, can’t help but be genuinely bewildered by his annus mirabilis. A penniless van washer less than two years earlier, in 2006 he released a No. 1 album (Undiscovered), won a Brit Award for best male solo artist and filled his passport chock-full of stamps.
Asked to list the most incredible moments, Morrison, who hails from a town called Rugby, is lost for words.

There is a lot of Buzz around James Morrison right now in the states, where James has spoken about his writing and his life. “I just wrote about what I know,” he says. “But I didn’t want to set the tone too sad. I wanted to write an album where people would know that I’d been through a hard time, but no matter. You can come out of it.”
Only two years ago, he was cleaning vans for a living, six days a week, struggling to book gigs, even open-mic nights, in his scant time off.
Fired from that dead-end job, he was ready slink home to his mother’s home in Cornwall. Not an attractive option, as he sings in “This Boy.”

They have some big women in Scotland, very big women, and when they set their sights on a target they go for it. I was that target.”

Below is a very positive review of James’ album “Undiscovered” from an American website, livedaily. It seems like James is already making a great impression over in the states.
In James Morrison “Under the Influence,” the opening track of his debut “Undiscovered,” he sings, “Once you’ve had a taste of it, there’s no going back.” The same could be said for the album.
Morrison possesses a rough, soulful voice that emanates ’70s soul (think Stevie Wonder) in songs such as “This Boy” or “If the Rain Must Fall.” Harmonicas, horn sections and hand claps fill out the Englishman’s sound, making the songs even more addictive.

It seems like there has been a lot of news and attention on James Morrison right now over in good old USA, where 95% of people seem to of course been compairing him to James Blunt. This article is already surjecting the James Morrison could be the net Blunt and be a huge brit success over there.
Is America ready for the next sensitive singer-songwriter from across the pond? James Morrison, whose album “Undiscovered” went platinum over in England, is releasing the debut album here in the states.
While he isn’t a Morrison of the Van variety, this soul crooner with a distinctive, if gravelly, voice could find popularity in the way James Blunt has. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
